Mercedes is a brand that stands for luxury and class, having built that reputation over decades, since the first Mercedes-Benz was made140 years ago. It is no surprise, then, that their lineup consists of premium offerings that, when specced right, reach way past the $200,000 mark. Cars like the S-Class, G-Wagen, and AMG SL represent the pinnacle of the brand’s offerings – and that’s before we even speak about Maybach models. But if you’re wondering what is the chepeast Mercedes on sale in 2025, you may be surprised at the answer.

Everyone knows buying a Merc means laying out top dollar – but not all of the cars in the stable start in the six-figure range – there are a number of cars that cost a fraction of that. From coupes to SUVs, even to AMGs, it is possible to buy a comparatively inexpensive new Mercedes. Here are the cheapest Mercedes-Benz models you can buy new today.

This list is broken down into segments, listing the cheapest Mercedes-Benz models for each as available new in the USA in 2025. Segments are ranked from most to least expensive. MSRPs quoted exclude options and destination fees, and are correct at the time of writing in August 2025 – manufacturers may update this at any time.

Now, we’ll admit there’s nothing really cheap about the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600, but, as far as Maybach-branded cars go, this is the least expensive of the bunch. The Maybach GLS is built to be the SUV version of Mercedes’ popular S-Class Maybach, a car that radiates opulence no matter where it is. The Maybach GLS, based on the body of Mercedes’ largest SUV, is designed to be a bit more capable. It has a higher ride height than the standard GLS and features the famous bouncing suspension, a design originally used to help this car navigate off-roading situations, but was later adopted as a showboating tool.

Regardless, even though this is the cheapest Maybach available, at $178,450, it certainly isn’t the least expensive Mercedes. For that money, you get a refrigerated compartment in the armrest at the back – complete with champagne flutes a la Rolls-Royce, a grand power sunroof, 29 speakers courtesy of Burmester and Dolby Atmos, and a rear-seating space equivalent to a lounge. Compared to models from Rolls-Royce and Bentley, however, the Maybach GLS feels like a bit of a bargain, even as it takes its place as the most expensive of the cheapest Mercedes models in 2025.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain is Mercedes’s cheapest wagon because it’s the brand’s only wagon at this time. The performance-focused AMG E53 wagon will join the lineup later this year sporting hybrid power and a price tag to match, but even so, the All-Terrain you see here will remain in this spot: the least expensive Mercedes wagon on sale in the USA.

The E-Class All-Terrain is a jack of all trades, and a great SUV alternative for someone who needs the go-anywhere attitude, but without the stigma of an SUV. Practicality is a strong suit of the All-Terrain, with a rear loadspace of up to 64.4 cu. ft. with the rear seats down. It doesn’t skimp on luxury, either and a panorama roof, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats with energizing kinetics, and 64-color LED ambient lighting.

The cheapest Mercedes convertible is the CLE Cabriolet. Released as an in-betweener for the Mercedes C-Class and E-Class convertibles, the CLE aims to be the one non-SL convertible for the brand’s lineup. Taking design cues from both the C-Class and E-Class, this cruiser is handsome, and comes with infinite headroom when you put the all-season power soft-top down. You can have that fabric top in one of three colors, and AMG body styling comes standard; it rides on 18-inch twin 5-spoke wheels in black, while inside, you get power front seats with heating and seat kinetics, an Airscarf neck-level heating system, and Aircap wind protection so you can enjoy having the top down in any weather.

The most affordable Mercedes-Benz plug-in hybrid for 2025 is the GLC 350e, a hybridized version of Mercedes’ best-selling GLC. Mercedes’ plug-in models fly under the radar in their brand, sandwiched between the sleek EQ models and the big AMG V8s, but the GLC350e might be one of the smartest and most practical Mercedes models out there. With a pure electric driving range of 54 miles, it’s one of the highest-range plug-ins on sale today. And because the 350e is a GLC, you get the same features that made this car such a success for the brand. You need to lay out at least $60k to get your hands on one, but there’s an efficient and potent engine under the hood, and a tech-forward cabin with biometric authentication, third-gen MBUX, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 11.9-inch multimedia screen, and in-car WiFi.

If you’re looking for an AMG without breaking the bank, the AMG CLA 35 Coupe is your best bet, as it’s the cheapest AMG model you can currently buy. The AMG CLA 35 has all the same positives as the typical CLA outlined earlier, but this time with an added punch. The CLA is powered by a 302-hp 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that rockets the CLA to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds – the quickest car on our list by far. And, at just $56,600, this rocket is a pretty good deal for what you get. The interior also gets an upgrade over the regular CLA Coupe, with contrast stitching on both the dashboard and seats, along with a dual-column steering wheel seen in other AMG models. Even though this is the smallest and cheapest new Mercedes-AMG model on sale today, it sure doesn’t feel like you’re in one, as with all Mercedes-AMG models, it gets upgrades both inside and out. These include AMG body styling, a panorama roof, sports front seats with MB-Tex/microfiber upholstery, and a Burmester Surround Sound system.

The Mercedes-Benz EQB SUV is the least expensive electric (EQ) model that Mercedes currently offers. Based on the compact GLB crossover, the EQB is meant for people who need a quiet and comfortable city runabout car without sacrificing luxury or style. The EQB is powered by a single front-mounted motor producing just 188 hp, which, while not a lot, does mean you get the best range out of any EQB model, at 251 miles. Another benefit to the EQB is the optional 7-seater layout, making this car one of the smallest new cars you can buy with a third row.

At just over $53k, this car is significantly more expensive than the standard GLB; however, the aforementioned third row doesn’t offer a ton of space for taller passengers. With that said, if you’re looking for something small, electric, and capable of transporting the whole family, the EQB is a solid option for a cheap Mercedes.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the cheapest new Mercedes sedan you can buy in 2025. The base model C 300 comes with the same 255-hp 2.0-liter 4-cylinder the GLA SUV sports, and in this guise, it gets the C-Class to 60 mph in just 6.0 seconds; it’s not overtly performance-focused, but it does get the job done. Although it’s on the cheaper end of the spectrum, the C-class gets top-end materials and the same third-gen MBUX system you find in more expensive models. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 11.9-inch touchscreen display are standard, and a host of safety featurs are standard, including adaptive braking tech, blind-spot assist with exit warning assist, attention assist, parking assist, and adaptive highbeams. The sedan is available in either RWD or AWD.

The Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupe isn’t a traditional coupe, as it has four doors, but rather follows the same principle of a coupe-sedan style offering first seen with the CLS back in the early 2000s. After the departure of the A-Class sedan from the US market – one of the least expensive Mercedes models you could buy at the time – the CLA is now the smallest new Mercedes on the market. That hat doesn’t mean it sacrifices quality or a premium feel. For starters, the styling serves dual purposes: it looks great, but is also practical It has the body of a coupe with all the practicality of a daily driver; however, the sloped roof may serve as a challenge for tall backseat passengers. The CLA’s small size and light weight mean its 221-hp hybrid 4-cylinder engine gets it from 0-60 in just 6.3 seconds.

Inside, buyers get a smart cabin with dual 10.25-inch displays – one for multimedia and another for the digital gauge cluster – as well a wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There are eight airbags as standard, along with driver assists like crosswind assist, blind spot monitoring, adaptive braking, and more, making this a great option for family duty.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV is a double-hitter: Not only is it the cheapest Mercedes-Benz SUV you can buy, it’s also the cheapest Mercedes-Benz model you can buy, period. Mercedes’ compact premium crossover has been a hit for the brand, and it’s easy to see why. Starting at just $41,500, the GLA does a good job at giving drivers a premium experience, with its leather-trimmed cabin and metal air vents – the GLA feels like a much more expensive car than it is. You don’t get oodles of power, but that’s not the point of the SUV in this entry-level segment – the mild-hybrid powertrain gives relatively good gas mileage, though.

If you’re looking for a cheap coupe-SUV, however, Mercedes also has you covered with the GLC Coupe, a coupe-style SUV version of Mercedes’ best-selling GLC crossover. In exchange for some rear headroom and storage space, you get the same GLC, just slightly more stylish. It comes at a higher price, though, and doesn’t really offer any performance benefits, but it is still the most affordable Mercedes Coupe-SUV you can get.
